Ex-Abia PDP lawmaker formally joins APC; picks Party card

Two-term Abia lawmaker and a former Majority Leader, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Taribo, who represented Ukwa East State Consistency in the Assembly between 2015 to 2023 has formally left the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Taribo has formally joined APC in his lkwueke East Ward, Ohambele.

In his speech, Chief Hon. Paul Taribo said his decision to join the APC is based on his personal conviction and resolve for a better Abia and the country at large.

Notable personalities that witnessed the event are; Friday Nwagbo (the APC Ward Chairman ), High Chief Rowland Anyamele (APC LG Chairman), Mr. Christopher Nnah (Ward Leader, Chief (Hon) Mezie Nwaubani, a former PDP House of Assembly member who represented the State Chairman of APC.

Other Chieftains of the party, Chief Marc Wabara and Chief Dimgba Eruba (NDDC Commissioner, representing Abia State) both sent their facilitation and a host of other party faithful.

This is the first time in the history of Abia that APC will harvest such number of defections, led astute politicians, an indication that the 2027 political journey in the state will not be an easy ride for the three major political parties in the state, viz: The ruling Labour Party, PDP and APC.
