Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s dep. CoS, Gboyega Soyannwo is dead

The Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Mr. Gboyega Soyannwo, has died.

Soyannwo died, on Wednesday, after a brief illness.

Sources said that Soyannwo had stroke, at the weekend, and was rushed to the hospital.

The sources said that he could not survive the stroke despite quick medical attention.
“Mr. Soyannwo died today (Wednesday). It is very painful we lost a very gentleman. A thoroughbred technocrat who knows his onions.

“He was rushed to the hospital at the weekend, thinking he will survive it”.
Soyannwo was born 3rd of October 1968.
Soyannwo was a well-rounded professional with over thirty one (31) years’ experience in Banking, Financial Services, General Management and Strategy, effectively combines sound scholarly background with vast multi-sector experience making him a prime candidate for result driven performances across the private and public sectors.

He was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) to the Lagos State Governor (2019 – 2023).

Governor Sanwo-Olu re-appointed him on June 8, 2023.
