1 min read

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has extended his congratulations to Emir Muhammad Sanusi II on his reinstatement as the 14th Emir of Kano, wishing him a successful and prosperous reign. Fubara expressed his hopes that Sanusi’s leadership would bring progress and prosperity to the people of Kano State.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara shared his excitement over Sanusi’s return to the throne, noting the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor’s visit to Rivers State in support of the state’s economic initiatives.
Fubara highlighted that Sanusi’s reinstatement reflects the people’s wishes, suggesting that his dethronement in March 2020 was unjust and not in line with the aspirations of Kano’s residents. He commended the Kano State Government for addressing past wrongs and urged the community to support Sanusi’s leadership.

Furthermore, Fubara encouraged Emir Sanusi II, who is also the spiritual leader of the Tijanniyah Sufi order in Nigeria, to guide the order’s over 50 million adherents with love, wisdom, and courage, fostering peace, justice, equity, and fairness in Kano.
“I wish the 14th Emir of Kano a successful and fruitful reign that will bring progress and prosperity to the people of the state,” Fubara stated.
