Enugu govt. announces recruitment of 450 health workers

The Enugu State Government has announced the recruitment of 450 health workers to support the state’s transformative healthcare initiative.

This was contained in a statement signed by Asst. Prof. Emmanuel I. Obi, Commissioner of Health and Dr. Ifeyinwa Ani-Osheku, Executive Secretary/CEO

Enugu State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.

This recruitment drive, announced by the State Ministry of Health and Enugu State Primary Health Care Development Agency, aims to provide universal healthcare to citizens across the 17 local government areas of the state.

This recruitment drive is part of the state government’s efforts to revitalize the healthcare sector and provide quality healthcare services to citizens. The Enugu State Government has been investing in healthcare infrastructure, including the construction of 260 Type 2 Primary Health Centers across the state.

Positions Available:

The recruitment spans various clinical and non-clinical roles, including:

Medical Officers, Grade level 13

Pharmacists, Grade level 8

Medical Laboratory Scientists, Grade level 8

Staff Nurse/Midwives, Grade level 7

Pharmacy Technicians, Grade level 7

Medical Laboratory Technicians, Grade level 7

Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), Grade level 7

Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs), Grade level 4

Medical Record officers, Grade level 7

Cleaners, Grade level 2

Security, Grade level 2

Criteria for Applicants:

 

Relevant Certification: Candidates must possess the necessary qualifications in their respective fields.

Annual Practicing License: Applicants must hold a current practising license.

Willingness to Serve: Candidates should be prepared to work in PHCs across any designated location within Enugu State.

Local Residency: Applicants must reside within the areas they intend to serve.

Application Portal: Interested candidates are required to apply through the online portal.

Application Period: The portal opens on June 12th, 2024, and closes on July 11th, 2024.

Notification: Successful candidates will receive a notification with the details of the interview.
