A former Digital Communication Assistant to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmed, has announced that a significant Northern stakeholders’ meeting is scheduled to take place within the next three weeks.
This meeting is deemed ‘crucial’ following recent events in the region during the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protests.
Ahmed made the announcement on his X account, interpreting an interview between the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Hausa and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

During the interview, Shettima addressed the Federal Government’s awareness of the rising cost of living and economic difficulties, emphasising that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is actively working to tackle these challenges.
According to Ahmed, the Vice President’s interview was both timely and strategic, delivering essential messages to the northern populace. The upcoming meeting will involve governors, politicians, business leaders, and traditional figures from the North, focusing on regional issues.
