Francisca Owumi, the first Runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) in 2006, has tragically passed away.
The news of her death was confirmed by her family, who shared the heartbreaking announcement on her Instagram page with the message, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
Reports indicate that Owumi died after a brief illness.
She was a memorable contestant in the first season of BBNaija, captivating audiences with her energetic dance moves and charismatic personality. During her time on the show, she shared the house with other notable contestants, including Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.

Following her time on reality TV, Owumi pursued a career in music. In 2012, she released two singles, “Gbadun You” and “Diva,” under her own record label, Cisca Entertainment. Additionally, she was a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
Owumi’s death marked a somber moment for the BBNaija community and her fans, who remember her as a vibrant and talented individual.
