Obasanjo, IBB, Abdusalami, Aliyu Gusau in secret meeting

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Sunday evening, met with three other retired Military Generals at the Minna, Niger State residence of Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

Obasanjo had arrived at the Mina Airport and immediately headed to the hilltop residence of Gen. Babangida, having flown in from Benin-City, where he attended the 90th birthday of the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.

It was gathered that at the residence of Gen. Babangida, another former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), and a former National Security Adviser (NSA), Gen. Aliyu Gusau (rtd), were also waiting for Chief Obasanjo.
The four elder statesmen were in a closed-door meeting for about an hour, before Obasanjo left Minna around 6:20pm.
The meeting might not be unconnected with pressing national issues that bordered on the current economic challenges.
