The governor, who chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, downplayed Wike’s threat, suggesting that his remarks stemmed from personal irritation rather than any serious threat to Bauchi. He emphasized that internal party disagreements should not be misconstrued as personal attacks and reassured that Bauchi remains united and resilient.

In his address, Mohammed underscored the importance of adhering to party rules and respecting diversity within the PDP. He highlighted the party’s historical role in Nigeria’s development and stressed the necessity of unity and cooperation among party members despite ongoing challenges.
National Legal Adviser of the PDP, Kamaldeen Ajibade Adeyemi SAN, expressed support for the steps taken by the PDP governors under Mohammed’s leadership, affirming that the NWC is committed to implementing their decisions and supporting the party’s efforts.

The governor’s remarks and the NWC’s visit reflect ongoing tensions within the PDP as it navigates internal conflicts and seeks to maintain cohesion ahead of future political challenges.
