Lagos Arewa community advocates for peace, seeks more dialogue

The Arewa community All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos State, have joined their voice to calls by prominent Nigerians youths in the country to suspend the proposed ‘Zanga Zanga’ Nationwide protest against the hardship witness in the country.

Speaking during a news conference in Lagos, the Chairman Arewa Community APC Lagos chapter, Alhaji Sa’adu Gulma, who described Nigerian youths as very resilient and hardworking, urged them to distance themselves from the protest because it will further increase the hardship already witness in the country.
Alhaji Gulma explained that the last Nationwide protest by the youths, resulted into a carnage in Lagos, in which critical infrastructure worth billions of naira were destroyed and precious lives were lost.

The APC Arewa community leader in Lagos, used the medium to call on especially Arewa youths and members to stay away from any form of protest, saying the leadership of the country are working hard to put things right
Alhaji Gulma also appealed to leaders in the Northern region and former presidents to urgently approach President Bola Tinubu and his team on the possible urgent solutions to the high cost of food stuffs because Nigerians are hungry and angry.

The Arewa community APC leader reiterated that their youths in Lagos are law abiding and would not be allowed to be used to ruin the strong relationship built by the forefathers and leaders in Lagos.
