Police operatives said they have arrested three suspected armed robbers following a fierce exchange of gunfire with the police at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around 10:45pm on Sunday when a team of police operatives from the Utako division encountered the gang during a patrol.
FCT Police Commissioner, Benneth Igweh, confirmed the arrest during a press briefing at the command headquarters, where he paraded the suspects, on Tuesday.
Igweh said the police operatives became suspicious and trailed a Golf vehicle being used by the suspected robbers.
