Eid-al-Adha: Sokoto gov. authorises payment of June salary

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has authorised the disbursement of June 2024 salaries to all state workers, starting from Monday.

This initiative aims to ensure that employees can celebrate Eid-el-Kabir comfortably this year. The announcement, disclosed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa, emphasises that the payment includes civil servants, local government staff, and pensioners across Sokoto State.

Governor Aliyu, since taking office, has consistently ensured timely payment of salaries, typically between the 20th and 21st of each month.

The statement also extends warm wishes from the governor to the Muslim community for a joyous Eid-el-Kabir festival.
